Sarah Van Hoof (°1981) graduated as a social cultural worker at the Antwerp College University in 2003. As a recent graduate, she started working at KIDS, a non-profit youth work organisation for fewer and least fortunate people in Antwerp, initially as a youth worker and subsequently as coordinator. Seven years in the sociocultural work field and a coaching course later she started working as a communication trainer and project coordinator at Tinco.
When she wanted to refocus on higher education in 2013, she began studying Instructional and Educational Sciences. In 2015 she successfully obtained her master’s degree and graduated with a Master’s thesis ‘The effect of feedback on motivation among teachers in a challenging classroom context’.
Since 2015 she has been working as a lecturer and researcher at the Artesis Plantijn University College in Antwerp, where she researches social and educational themes and teaches students Social Work and Erasmus students Social Work and Education.
