Deborah Davits

Deborah Davits (°1980) graduated in 2004 as Master in the Pedagogical Sciences option Social Educational Care Work (VUB). She worked in the social sector, for the Centre for Student Guidance and as a self-employed psychotherapist in a multidisciplinary group practice. Deborah completed studies in psychodiagnostics (Lessius University College), the training course “Experiential Integrative Psychotherapist for children, young people and their context” (Focus on Emotion) and did a year-long training to become a TRE-provider; a body-oriented method to deal with tension, stress and trauma (BIP).

From 2017 Deborah works as a teacher at the Artesis Plantijn University College in the Bachelor Social Educational Care Work. Since 2018 she has been working as a researcher on the ongoing multidisciplinary research project O². O² researches the role of the supporters within the support teams connected to schools (former GON and ION). The research group tries to develop tools from practice to support the Supporters (O²) and thus give them more oxygen (O²).
